I would put the whole thing on one horse. Here are some options:
1 One great new piece of art or photography by an undiscovered young artist.
2 One great meal with my wife in NYC and cab fare to and from the hotel.
3 An hour or two of your time.

Ahhhh, $500 is what my Aunt gave me last Christmas. I bought a previously owned alto saxophone and began lessons for a year with a fabulous local musician in exchange for painting his portrait. ;o) We are half-way through the lessons and I love it!
Very useful post for people like me. I never have enough money, I spend a lot. this is very sad (
