I just had to share these photos I took in Paris at the Musee du quai Branley. The entire facade of the building is covered in greenery and it is just breathtaking.
This is my inspiration for today – I hope you draw some creative inspiration from it as well!

Breathtaking! Love vertical gardens. I live in South Florida, though, and wonder how we’d keep the bugs away!

That’s insane! If you blow up the shot, you can see some herbs and small vegetables. It looks like some sort of drip system just under the surface. There must be some sort of net or screen keeping the planting mixture on the wall. If you can do this outdoors, you could do it in a kitchen or bathroom, too. And grow your tomatoes upside down over the dining table!

Very beautiful. The New York Times recently ran a piece in the Home Section on indoor vertical “green” walls. Especially lovely in urban settings.

the first time I came across this building I was floored!!! I just stood there and stared…actually I think I posted about it upon my return…one of my favorite buildings in Paris…
Best,

Beautiful greenery with windows interspersed! Vertical gardens help insulate buildings, capture storm water, absorb urban auto pollution & add oxygen to air – and bring greenery to the city. Thanks for the photos!
