It’s been below zero here in St. Petersburg, but the vodka and caviar have been keeping me warm. The palaces are even more spectacular than I thought. I can’t wait to share my pictures and notes.
Here is the hotel I am staying in and highly reccomend it.

Can’t wait to see your pictures, Vicente! St. Petersburg is such a beautiful place! My mom teaches Russian at a Bulgarian highschool. When I was a child we often spent our holidays there. So many magnificent places to visit and to take pictures. Have a wonderful time!
From Russia with love!!
Can’t wait to hear and see more from your trip, stay warm!!!
…But; Russia in the winter, what were you thinking????

Wow! what a great place to visit – have a great time and hope you will be going somewhere warm soon???!!
I must say, Russia certainly took me by surprise. . .I had been picturing you in a hot, humid climate somewhere near the equator! I bet it is beautiful there in spite of the freezing temperatures. I can hardly wait for the next surprise. . .in the meantime, enjoy your venture!!!

Random thought from a reader:
Take six peppermint candy canes and add them to a one pint mason jar of vodka. Let stand (for at least four hours, but the longer the better!). Enjoy…it’s a festive way to warm the soul.
Enjoy your travels!
