Yesterday I had a prospective client come in whose desires and expectations match the work that I do to the proverbial ‘T’. She was positive and really connected with the point of view that this office has. And maybe because I had put on that positive way of thinking yesterday (though the appointment had been made a week before), it sort of slapped me into the reality that they’re not all oinkers out there. There are people who agree with one’s point of view and it reminded me how good it feels when somebody comes to you, admiring what you do and being excited about the possibility of working with you bringing with them the sense that together we’re going to do some wonderful work. I think that there are times when one starts to believe that there aren’t people like this out there, but again, keeping a positive point of view opens the door to having people who think that way come to you.

Its never easy being on top. You know you are at the top of your mountain when you have to balance the ups and downs from both sides… keep balancing my friend!

Great story….it’s amazing the creativity that can come out when you have a client that is of the same mindset. It makes the whole process such a joy for everyone involved. Good Secret Reminder yesterday.
Thanks!

yay!!! great clients are HUGE!! It’s so much more rewarding when youa ll see eye-to-eye and you know you can really thrill them & make them happy!! (definitely my goal for all clients & I think you have to build up enough of a reputation/ cred to get ppl who want you for you.)

I read your previous post about the secret which I have read and watched and daily think that this is the way we should all think. sometimes it is difficult. However, it is refreshing to know that someone of your calibre still faces “bumps” as you put it and still gets clients that dispute and question you. It is also refreshing to know that it is the same all over the world in this business, I guess dealing with people is basically the same regardless of where they are. At the end of the day what we have is the ability to learn from bad experiences and hope that the goods ones will wash them away, like this new client you got.

The more open we are the more we receive, be it the secret or just us being happy and seeing things in a different perspective.
Your designs are great and deserve all the positive energy you can give to them.
