Have any of you seen the new Sacha Baron Cohen movie? I won’t say anything, but if you have, please let me know what you think before I speak my piece about it!

I haven’t been to see the movie and I’m not intending on going either. I recently rented some of Sasha’s earlier work called The Ali G Show…. while some of it made me smile (not laugh) the majority of it made me cringe…. I’d be interested in your thoughts.

Ditto here – haven’t been, not going to go….his last movie
was more than enough for me!
saw it. not actually clever enough for the amount of hype or the amount of our of bounds humor. you could have cut down the funny parts to a 30 min sketch and still had the same plot.
I saw it, sitting very close, had dark sunglasses on some of the time. It is a wry, low budget satire on just how jaded and banal our expectations have become, regarding so called mainstream popular culture. The unintended irony was that the joke is not a joke; it is our modern reality, created for us by the media.
Sorry not interested…it is NOT on my list even if I read a good review from a respected columnist after so many negative ones (gross, homofobic etc. etc.). I am curious to know what you think, it seems a controversial movie and therefore it should stimulate some discussion (?)
Tasteless, tactless, terrible, truly a waste of time. Don’t do it.
