Not because I designed it and not because I’m a junior partner, but purely because it has one of the best Italian menus in New York and a great new outdoor space has just opened, am I sharing this clip with you. I dined at Alto‘s new outdoor space last night and enjoyed a great piemontese duck ravioli, morel mushrooms, marsala and veal sauce followed by a delicious striped bass with a lemon dressing. Check out the video and then go try it for yourself. I think you’ll find that whether you’re in New York or an ‘out-of-towner’, Alto offers a great dining experience in mid-town Manhattan.
If you get to go, let me know what you think of the experience.

I have had the pleasure of dining at Alto and I did, in fact, go for the very reason that it was designed by you:) However, having dined at L’impero many times, I knew the food would live up to the interiors and it certainly did not disappoint! The server was amazing as he graciously walked me through the menu being there were several ingredients which I was not familiar with (a bit of an Austrian influence?) and I consider myself a lil foodie! Nonetheless, it was amazing and the staff, knowing I was an admirer of your work, walked me through the property, all while having an amazing glass of wine in hand;) Priceless…and highly recommended.
