The Westin Hotel on 42nd Street hired us to recreate the executive guest rooms, hallways and lounge.
I decided to work with very soft colors to try and bring a sense of tranquility to the environment and it’s fun to be able to show you the result. What do you think?

Stunning. As usual you have done wonderful work! Just curious, how many people do you have on your design staff? When you do a project like this, how many people are involved to help you facilitate a large commercial job such as this?

vicente – looks great – this is exactly the reason why designers should have a “look” (i prefer the term “brand”) as this work shows your signature. one thing from your design vocabulary that looked a bit amiss – the photos on the ledge not leaning – to me the casualness of being able to re-arrange at will is gone – but i fully understand that this is a hotel corridor and the ant-theft hanging hardware required. again really great work -

Amanda, aside from myself we have two architects, three designers and usually a couple of interns running around.

Thanks Todd – as you can guess the leaning frames were part of the original design concept!

They must be thrilled, a stunning change and very restful. They will have appreciative guests too. Hope they hire you to do all of their hotels.

I love the overscale mirror and window bench in the rooms. Really sets it apart and makes it unique.

I walked by this hotel last weekend while visiting NYC. After seeing your photos, it makes me wish we had stayed at The Westin. It is so serene and stylish.

Vicente – Your design is a huge improvement over the original and far above the norm. Your guest rooms are more sensuous AND practical. I love the long computer desk, the large mirror for expanding space and straightening your tie, the comfortable seating group, lighting and the residential touches that make it feel like home. What I like least about hotel chains are the synthetic quilts. It appears that you convinced them to upgrade to better natural linens. And I’ll bet this result is much more than they get from their typical hotel rehab budget. Congratulations – Gary
