I’m very proud to be included on this year’s fantastic Elle Decor ‘A-List’, June 2010 just published. Be sure to pick up a copy and check out the rest of the list – there are some good ones in there!

Congratulations Vicente. You deserve to be
on the list. I check your blog daily and am
constantly amazed at all your involvements.
I just read Crossing Boundaries and loved
seeing the (talented) photographs that might
directly inspire a room. You live your life full
tilt. Well done. Your rooms look like noone
else’s, as well. Helen.

Vicente – Congratulation on your well-deserved recognition. This is my favorite of your recent projects and exemplifies for me everything that distinguishes you from the pack. I love the white space, the tans, taupes and dark browns with accents of green and blue, and especially the tall aged bookcase that visually defines a separation between the seating and music area. It also demonstrates that it takes some innate talent, a keen eye and a hell of a lot of hard work to be able to create spaces that are at once calming, embracing and visually dynamic! Architecturally rigorous, comfortable and stylistically diverse! Smooth, rough, matte and gloss! – Gary

Many years ago when I was struggling to stay in the interior design business I found your first book and was inspired to stay. I wrote Margret Russell at Elle Decor about this; and from time to time I look at your book(s) and magazine clippings to keep me motivated – especially at times like this. You are my favorite designer and am not surprised you made their list. Keep on designing, please!! – Katy
