Hi Vicente,
I have a Victorian North facing bedroom with 2 large windows. My furniture is dark wood. Doors are old pine with painted white surround, white wooden shutters and 2 build in wardrobes with white painted wooden doors, and a beige carpet. I am wanting to paint the room and am at a loss as to what color to paint this. My curtains are beige and my duvet cover is white. Any suggestions would be most welcome
Vicente Responds:
Paula, are you willing to change your curtains and duvet? Why don’t you go to a museum and look through the paintings to see what colors appeal to you? A very soft mauve or lavender could be really pretty. In Scotland with its minimal sun, think of a color that will give it a cheery quailty like a soft yellow or powder blue to bring a sense of lightness.
