Just saw your bathroom on HGTV and would like to know what you put in front of the window. I want to put the shower in front of mine but do not want anyone to look in. Thank you for your help.

Barbara, in this particular case the bathroom window faced greenery, so there was no problem with privacy. You can do a roll-down solar screen shade or frost the window up to shoulder level so nobody can see in. Or you can give them a good show and make the neighbor’s day by leaving the window plain!

    We have a big window in our shower. It’s almost like an outdoor shower. At some times during the day, sunlight will fall on our skin. That is luxury. If privacy was an issue, we’d plant or build something outside as a screen. I’d hate to block the view so we couldn’t enjoy it while taking a shower.

    Beautiful bathroom. Love it. Just visited House Beautiful’s website and was scrolling through the pics of the featured South Hampton’s home. Was saving images because I loved it all so much and then went down to the interview to find that you designed the home. Because of your blog I felt like I knew the designer. Perfection. I really liked everything. The interview was great as well. You really let people inside your head. Thanks!

    I ONLY LIVE WHERE I CAN WALK AROUND OUTSIDE WITH OUT CLOTHS IF I CHOSE SO, IT IS WONDERFUL TO HAVE A BATHROOM THAT IS BASICALLY AN EXTENSION OF THE OUTSIDE… EVEN IN FLORIDA IN GATED COMUNITIES ONE CAN HAVE A GLASSED FLOOR TO CEILING BATHROOM WINDOW IF YOU DESIGN THE PRIVACY OF THE OUTSIDE ROOM OFF THE BATHROOM…
